The Tel Ha Shomer military base was established during World War II by the American army on an area that had been expropriated

from Tel Litwinski settlement. After a while, the British took over the base, expanded it, and used it as a logistics center that included workshops, garages and armory.

In 1948 the Tel Ha Shomer base was conquered by the IDF after battles between the Alexandroni Brigade and the fighters

Arab countries.

Today the military base includes number of back-office units such as technological department, logistics, IDF classification systems, vehicle workshops, offices, human resources, recruitment office and more.
